Voices from the Valley
The 2018 Voices from the Valley – Addiction and Recovery learning experience will be presented by the Center for Humanistic Change 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 21 at Liberty High School, 1115 Linden St., Bethlehem.
Participants will learn about the cycle of addiction, from first use to recovery, including the effects of trauma and genetics; how addiction affects the entire family; the roles played by law enforcement, health care professionals and addiction specialists; and local resources for addicts and their families.
There will be speakers and video clips of interviews with recovering addicts and family members, an emergency room doctor, addiction specialists, emergency personnel and others.
