Three members of the Northwestern Lehigh Student Council and their advisor recently attended a school board meeting as part of School Board Recognition Month.

“Thank you. You are a unique group of individuals,” Student Council Advisor Patricia Mengel told the board. “We are glad to see our projects include you. You are appreciated for putting things forward.”

The three students - William and Jake Dellicker, and Nolan Hernandez - along with Mengel, health and physical education instructor, went around the room shaking hands with each of the board members.

Mengel described the boys as Grand Tigers.

At each school board member’s seat was a golden tote bag filled with tokens of appreciation made by students in the various schools.

“You are responsible for the success of all our students,” Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Holman told the board.
