LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

‘The time of my life’

It surely was a Night to Shine during the Tim Tebow Foundation annual prom held Feb. 9 in churches around the world for persons with special needs. The Lehigh Valley host church was Riverbend Community Church on Roble Road in Allentown. Pastor Joe Velarde was the master of ceremonies.

This year 700 churches hosted the event. Emotions of pure joy were apparent the entire evening from the guests, cheering observers, caregivers, volunteers and businesses offering their services for free such as several photographers acting as paparazzi.

DJ’s played music that kept the guests running to the dance floor. Makeup and hair styling services were set up and a shoe shine station was provided.

Boutonnieres and corsages were given to each guest. For dinner Chick-fil-A donated chicken tenders with salad, fruit, condiments and chips.

Every guest was crowned king or queen, a highlight of the evening. They danced hard, formed a train, did the chicken dance, sang, smiled, laughed and created memories they will not soon forget.

Contact the Tim Tebow Foundation to find out how you can support this event in the future via donation or volunteer.
