The Swain School, 1100 S. 24th St., Allentown, will host Dr. Michael “Mykee” Fowlin 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at a presentation that is free and open to the public. It is the second of the school’s parenting education series presentations for this year, sponsored by Brookside Dental.
“You Don’t Know Me Until You Know Me” is Dr. Fowlin’s one-man performance, which will deal with issues such as race, discrimination, violence prevention, suicide, gender equality and homophobia and strategies to address them. “Mykee” takes on the personas of several different characters, including a high school athlete dealing with his sexual identity, a young adult using a wheelchair and a student with behavior challenges, among others.
Dr. Fowlin’s presentation is appropriate for adults and students in fifth grade and above.
