Online auction set for Feb. 26

The Cedar Crest College Alumnae Association will hold their annual online auction from February 26 through March 23 at www.biddingforgood.com/cccalumnaeauction.

There will be a variety of items including restaurant gift certificates, winery tours, vacation getaways, original artwork and several Cedar Crest College items, all donated by alumnae and staff, businesses and the public.

All proceeds will benefit the Alumnae Association and Cedar Crest College.

Northampton Community College

Mandolin building set for Feb. 27

There will be a mandolin building class at 6:30 p.m. Feb.27 in the Fab Lab, Fowler Family Southside Center.

Participants will use hand tools to carve a neck, soundboard and back, using Sitka spruce and curly maple, which will be supplied.

Nurse Aide training information

A Certified Nurse Aide training program information session will be held at 6 p.m. on March 1 at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St.

The CNA information session is free but pre-registration is requested; call 610-332-6585. Visit Northampton.edu/HealthcareCourses to enroll for the classes which begin April 2 and learn more about the program.

Penn State Lehigh Valley

Practical nursing program Feb. 26

Penn State Lehigh Valley will hold a practical nursing program information session for classes beginning in August from 4 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the Overlook Park campus, 445 Hanover Ave., Allentown.

There will be classroom and lab tours and information on the program and the application process.

The practical nursing certificate program is an 18-month evening and weekend certificate program, which prepares students both academically and clinically for the NCLEX-PN licensure exam.
