State Police Beat

State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say a 63-year-old man from the 9600 Block of Oakview Road, Lynn Township, reported a known 23-year-old woman made numerous unauthorized ATM withdraws, purchases and bill payments without his permission between Aug. 15, 2017, and Nov. 14, 2017.

This incident remains under investigation, police say.

State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say John C. Olivieri Delgado, 53, of Gloucester, Ontario Canada, was driving a 2015 Kenworth T880 at 2:13 p.m. Jan. 22 at 2610 Route 100, Lowhill Township, when its oversize load brought down a cable and wires from a PPL pole.

According to police, the big rig was traveling in the northbound lane of Route 100 when the top of its oversize load caught a cable and power wires of the PPL pole that were hanging over the roadway.

The aluminum trim on the top of the oversize load then cut multiple wires, sending some hanging over the southbound lane of Route 100 southbound.

Police say a tractor-trailer combination traveling in the southbound lane struck the hanging wires, tangling them in the wires that were not cut.

The Kenworth then pulled off the roadway onto the shoulder of Route 100 northbound, just north of the crash scene.

Olivieri Delgado, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured.

He also did not report any damage to his truck or oversize load, police say. The Kenworth was driven away from the scene.

According to police, PPL was notified and issued a non-reportable driver exchange report for the damage to the wires.

Physical evidence as relative to this crash includes observed damage to multiple wires the truck struck, police say.
