The Feb. 5 Macungie Borough Council meeting lacked a quorum due to the absences of council members Greg Hutchison, Barry Bloch, Alma Akinjola and Marvin Moyer. No action could be taken on any agenda items.

The Main Street Streetscape and Church Street Traffic Light Project was discussed. On the agenda was approval of a to be determined supplemental agreement for inspection services. This inspector examines the project daily and the extension is needed because the project is not complete. There have been unexpected events that have caused the delay.

The traffic light at Main and Church streets is flashing now. This is expected to continue for seven days. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is also suggesting additional signs. This is PennDOT’s decision because it is a state road.

The Americans with Disabilities Act ADA ramps were a topic of discussion. Some of the ramps have been accumulating water which ultimately leads to excessive gravel laying on the ramp. The ramps have been inspected.

Following the meeting, an executive session was held to discuss litigation and personnel items.
