There will be a cash bingo Feb. 11 at Commitment to Family and Community, 165 Cherry St., Coplay. All proceeds will benefit Whitehall Area Hunger Initiative. Doors open 1 p.m., and bingo starts 2 p.m.

There will cash drawings, great food and baked goods available.

Cost of a ticket ($15) includes two board games (15 games). There are also specials available to purchase.

A presentation on full-day kindergarten is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13. It will be held in Whitehall High School’s LGI room.

The presentation will discuss the benefits and financial implications to the Whitehall-Coplay community.

There is a snow date of Feb. 15.

Mark your calendar for upcoming days off. Schools will be closed for the Presidents Day observance. There will be no school Feb. 16 and 19.

The Zephyr Pride Foundation is sponsoring a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show March 3.

The bus will leave the Whitehall High School parking lot 9 a.m. and arrive at the Philadelphia Convention Center approximately 10:30 a.m. The bus will leave Philadelphia 3:30 p.m. and arrive back in Whitehall around 5 p.m.

Zephyr Elementary School will be holding its second book bingo 6 p.m. Feb. 22. Tickets are $2 each.

Students will be bringing home detailed fliers for more information on participation. Orders can be placed for tickets. Tickets received before Feb. 20 will be sent home with students. After Feb. 20, tickets must be purchased at the door, based on availability.

Seating is limited.

There will be at least 10 bingo games played. Prizes will be books chosen from a variety of genres. There will also be special games available at an additional charge to win baskets.

Food will also be available to purchase.

All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
