Crime Stoppers offering reward in connection with robbery at Weis

Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers is offering cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the man wanted in connection with a robbery at Weis Market, Schnecksville.

According to Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers, troopers responded at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 31 to the Weis Market, 5020 Route 873, North Whitehall Township, for the report of robbery.

Police say an older gentleman was standing in front of a lottery kiosk at the front of the store and a white male was standing behind the him.

That man allegedly leaned over and took an envelope, containing a considerable sum of cash, out of the older man’s pocket.

The man, described as having brown hair and a full beard, with a thin build, and standing approximately 5-foot 10-inches to 6 foot tall, fled out the main doors and ran toward the McDonald’s area along Route 873.

He was last seen wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and black sneakers.

Anyone having information that may lead to the arrest of this individual is asked to call the Bethlehem State Police at 610-861-2026 and refer to incident number PA18-106902 or Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-426-TIPS.

Callers do not have to give their name and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
