LOWHILL TOWNSHIP Zoo offering guests a meal with giraffes Murphy and Tatu

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is offering a unique giraffe experience for two at various times during February.

Guests will get to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner inside the St. Luke’s Giraffe Barn with the zoo’s very own Murphy and Tatu at select times Feb. 1-28.

They will have a private setting with just the giraffes and a member of the zoo keeper team.

Breakfast will include a yogurt parfait, bagels, muffins and fresh cut fruit.

Lunch options consist of chicken piccata with a salad and baked potato, broiled haddock with a baked potato and vegetable or eggplant Parmesan over pasta with a salad.

Dinner food choices are chicken piccata with a salad and baked potato, broiled haddock with a baked potato and vegetable or Eggplant Parmesan over pasta with a salad.

Bring your own wine to celebrate and don’t forget a camera.

The fee for the meal will help fund the zoo’s animal conservation efforts and make a donation to the Giraffe Conservation Fund.

Pastor Chris Cocca from Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will lead a weekly Bible Study 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday during Lent, Feb. 21 through March 28.

He will be focusing on the last week of Jesus’ life.

The Confirmation class at Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will be collecting a special Souper Bowl of Caring offering Feb. 4 to benefit the Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.

Game night at the church is scheduled for 3 p.m. Feb. 11, so bring a covered dish or dessert to share and join them in fellowship, laughs, food and games.

Ash Wednesday Lent services with Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes will begin at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the church.
