Eunice Cataline, of Maryville, Tenn., and Raymond Shive, of Macungie, announce their New Year’s Eve engagement.

Ray and Eunice first knew each other 40 years ago when her family was a member of the Spruce Head Community Church, Spruce Head, Me.

Ray was pastor of the church at that time. Eunice remained very close to the Shive family in the following years.

The bride-elect is recently retired from Concern, an employee assistance program of Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville.

Her fiance retired from the Christian ministry, most recently as executive director of TEAMS for Medical Missions, Allentown.

The wedding and reception will take place Feb. 24 at the bride’s home church, River Oaks Community Church, Maryville.

A second reception will be held at a later date at Bible Baptist Church, Breinigsville.

Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Maryville.
