NORTH WHITEHALL TWP The Vine Church extends a welcome

Under the direction of Pastor Adam Kern, The Vine Church has been meeting at the Schnecksville Grange, 5322 Route 873, for more than a year.

Services take place at 6 p.m. every Sunday on the upper level.

On the first Sunday of each month, a free meal is offered at 5 p.m.

Kern explains the worship experience.

“We teach verse by verse through the Bible,” Kern said. “It is a contemporary worship with a more modern type of songs.

“Child care is provided up to third grade with snacks, play and a short Bible lesson.”

A native of Schnecksville and a 2006 Parkland High School graduate, Kern earned his Bachelor’s degree at West Chester University.

“Then, I felt God calling me to the ministry,” Kern said.

He then attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in California.

Kern said The Vine Church wants to serve people in need in the community.

This summer, the group is planning a backyard Bible camp.

Kern notes Riverbend Community Church in Allentown helped The Vine get started in Schnecksville.

“It’s been an interesting ride so far but we’re excited about it,” Kern explained.
