Becca Leigh Siegfried
Becca Leigh Siegfried, 37, of Lower Macungie Township, died Jan. 18,2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Trevor S. Siegfried. They celebrated seven years of marriage Oct. 16, 2017. Born in Oneonta, N.Y., she was the daughter of Linda (Jones) Douglas, of Morris, N.Y. and the late Barry Douglas.
She was a 1998 graduate of Morris Central School, received her bachelor’s degree in English from Niagara University, Lewiston, N.Y., in 2002 and attended Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Mich. and received her teaching certificate from Muhlenberg College. She did her student teaching and substitute teaching at various school districts including, Easton, East Penn, Salisbury and Wilson. Before receiving her teaching certificate, she was a claims analyst for Guardian Life Insurance Company, Bethlehem. She loved teaching but chose to give up her career to start a family.
She was a talented artist and enjoyed arts, crafts and ceramics. She was an avid reader and actively participated in a local mom’s group.
She is survived by her husband; mother; beloved sons, Owen, Aiden and Liam, all at home; brother, Keith Woodbeck and his wife Jill; sister, Sherry Harvey, all of Garretsville, N.Y.; father-in-law, Scott R. Siegfried, of Whitehall; mother-in-law, Anita (Hall) Siegfried Detterbeck and her husband Patrick, of The Villages, Fla.; sister-in-law, Anika Siegfried Frey and her husband Brandon, of Lehighton; nephews; nieces; extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Trevor S. Siegfried for the educational funds for their three sons, c/o the funeral home, 1601 Hamilton St., Allentown, 18102.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 25 in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th & Hamilton streets, Allentown. Call 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25 in the funeral home.
