Janice C. Peterson, 57, of Allentown, died Jan. 21, 2018, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Brent L. Peterson were married 33 years.

Born April 11, 1960, in Springfield, Delaware County, she was the daughter of the late Julia M. (Monte) and Robert F. DiGirolamo Sr.

She was a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, she earned a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University.

A process engineer at Air Products & Chemicals Inc., Trexlertown, for 32 years, she retired in 2015.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by children Megan A. Heft (Aaron) of Downingtown, Lauren E. Peterson of Los Angeles, Calif., Timothy A. Peterson of Newark, Del.; siblings Diane M. Vogel (Gregory) of Herndon, Va., Julia T. Stewart (Marvin) of Tabernacle, N.J., and Robert F. DiGirolamo Jr. of Medford, N.J.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Jan. 26 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Wargo officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-10:50 a.m. Friday in the church.
