A 23-year-old man died Jan. 15 after his vehicle struck a tree in Lower Milford Township.
Brandon Talkach, of Lower Milford Township, was pronounced dead 10:09 p.m. by Deputy Coroner Cassandra Schiffner, according to a media release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Talkach was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death was attributed to multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of the death was determined an accident.
In an account of the crash released by Pennsylvania State Police, Talkach’s vehicle, described as a 2008 Ford F250 pickup truck, was traveling west in the 5500 block of Palm Road about 9 p.m. The vehicle traveled off the north edge of the roadway for an unknown reason. The truck then traveled across the eastbound lane and off the south edge of the roadway. The truck struck a utility pole off the south edge of the roadway and subsequently struck a tree, also off the south edge of the roadway.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front and side and was towed from the accident scene by Detwiler’s Towing. East Green Fire Department and Macungie EMS assisted at the scene,
The Lehigh County Coroner and Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville are investigating the accident.
