STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q: In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A: I am currently enrolled in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject is history because it’s interesting to see how events and decisions in the past influence us in the present.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: I think this would be the only special recognition that I’ve gotten.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am a member of the Salisbury High School Debate Team and have been since my freshman year.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: My next goal after high school is to successfully graduate from college and become a high school teacher myself.
Q: What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A: I think my biggest challenge to date has been teaching myself not to procrastinate in school as much as I used to (although I still occasionally do).
Q: For what would you like to be remembered?
A: I would like to be remembered as a sincere person who always did my best to be honest and open with people and who really cherished all of the friends I had because they made my life so much more fun.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: My family consists of my mom Trish, my dad Chris, my older sister Jess, my three little brothers Alex, Caleb and Lucas and my grandmother Judy.
Q: Whom do you admire? Why?
A: I admire my dad because he fought for our country in the military, raised five kids, and even went back to school and got his degree to be a good example for his children.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: I would advise my peers to stop focusing solely on big things far away in the future (graduation/summer break), and learn to appreciate the small positive things in life that can occur everyday.
