Mary Smith, 27, of Emmaus, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence 1 p.m. Dec. 21, 2017, following an accident in the 1200 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard. Smith was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Edward Acevedo, 34, of Emmaus, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Lehigh Street 2:43 a.m. Jan. 1. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

A 19-year-old man, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 900 block of East Susquehanna Street 5:20 a.m. Jan. 1. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

A resident in the 1700 block of Lehigh Avenue told police he believes his son is using the resident’s credit cards. Approximately $2,400 in unauthorized charges have been documented. The incident was reported to police 3:30 p.m. Dec. 21, 2017.

A student at Salisbury High School reported the theft of $360 and a wallet from the locker room 1 p.m. Dec. 21, 2017. Police found the 15-year-old male who allegedly took the items and most of the money and the wallet were returned. The student will be forwarded to the juvenile justice panel.

Tyrone Boyd, 50, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly removing credit cards from employee’s purses at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, Jan. 2. The credit cards were allegedly given to another individual who used them to make purchases. Boyd was taken to Central Booking for processing.

A resident of Woodland Terrace at the Oaks, 1263 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., told police 4:30 p.m. Jan. 3, $40 was taken from his wallet and numerous unauthorized charges have been made on his credit card.

A resident in the 600 block of East Greenleaf Street reported the theft of a Honda Accord from a driveway at the home 9:44 a.m. Dec. 23, 2017. The vehicle was unlocked and the key fob was in the cupholder. The theft was referred to the Auto Theft Task Force who later recovered the vehicle in Allentown.

A resident in the 2300 block of Cypress Avenue reported damage to garage doors on the property 11:28 a.m. Dec. 23, 2017.

A resident in the 1500 block of Seidersville Road reported 7:50 a.m. Dec. 25, 2017, an unknown person drove into the front yard and through a shrub leaving tire tracks.

A resident in the 3300 block of Capital Street reported 11:10 a.m. Dec. 27, 2017, an unknown person shot out the driver’s side rear window and rear windshield of a 1998 Jeep Wrangler on the property.

A resident in the 900 block of Belford Road reported hearing several loud bangs and glass shattering 4:05 p.m. Dec. 29, 2017. It was discovered a rear window of the home had been broken and rocks were found nearby.

A resident in the 2600 block of Colorado Street reported teenagers going through mailboxes 5:10 p.m. Jan. 3.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a home in the 800 block of Flexer Avenue 2:20 p.m. Dec. 24, 2017. The lime green Trek mountain bike was valued at $750.

Nanita Benton, 40, of Allentown, was charged with unauthorized use of credit cards, 1:35 a.m. Dec. 25, 2017 after allegedly using stolen credit cards to make purchases totaling $1,335.18. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.

A resident reported to police 3:27 p.m. Dec. 27, 2017, she received a call from someone saying her grandson was in jail in the Caribbean and she should send bail money. Police advised the woman to not send money as it is a very popular scam.

Charges have been filed against Christopher Barber, 19, of Bangor, following an incident at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest 1:45 p.m. Dec. 28, 2017. Barber was charged with alleged simple assault, possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and harassment. Barber was sent to Behavioral Health at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Muhlenberg for further treatment.

A warrant has been issued for Carmelo Rivera, 64, of Allentown, who was allegedly found in Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest with 25 packets of heroin and drug paraphernalia 2:15 p.m. Dec. 30, 2017. Rivera has been charged with possession of a small amount of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 26-year-old man, of Emmaus, was given a summary traffic and disorderly conduct citation following a traffic stop along South Cedar Crest Boulevard 11:25 a.m. Jan. 2.
