A new year’s perk: Jim Weider & PRoJECT PERCoLAToR presents its annual post New Year’s Eve party concert, 8 p.m. Jan. 5, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. The band includes Weider, electric guitar; Jesse Gress, guitar (Todd Rundgren Band); Adam Minkoff, bass, and Rodney Holmes, drums. The group blends rock, blues, funk, and jazz with drum loops and samples. Burns, baby, Burns: “Robert Burns: A Scottish Music Celebration,” 8 p.m. Jan. 6, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem, brings together Lehigh Valley musicians and guests to celebrate the songs, poetry and humor of Scotland’s favorite poet. Expected to perform are Blackwater, Piper’s Request, Banna Lach: Alison and Tom Gillespie, Pam Kalapay, Terry Hartzel, Rick Weaver, and Fred Gilmartin. Cali reggae: Rebelution performs at 8 p.m. Jan. 14, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. The California reggae band has released its fifth album, “Falling Into Place.” Rebelution was founded in 2004 in Isla Vista, Calif. The group’s debut album, “Courage to Grow,” was iTunes’ Editors’ Choice for Best Reggae Album of 2007. “Bright Side of Life” hit No. 1 on the iTunes Reggae chart, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Reggae Albums chart and No. 34 on Billboard’s Top 200, all in 2009. “Count Me In” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart in 2014.
