Richard A. Mohr

Richard A. Mohr, 64, of Allentown, died Dec. 28, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown. He was the husband of Donna L. (Schwartz) Mohr for 43 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William G. and Gloria E. (Kanusky) Mohr, both of Allentown.

He was last employed as the transportation supervisor at KidsPeace, Allentown, for 25 years until retiring this year. He worked previously at the former Lehigh Valley Dairy. He owned and operated Richard Mohr Construction for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Northampton.

He was a life member of the Coplay Saengerbund, where he was a member of the Thursday night men’s bowling league. He volunteered for the Northampton High School swim team. He was earlier in life an active Boy Scout and had earned the Order of the Arrow Award.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Chad A. and his wife Danielle of East Fallowfield and Travis A. and his wife S. Alexis of Campbell Hall, N.Y.; a brother, Donald and wife Karen Mohr of Walnutport; a sister, Jean Mohr of Allentown; and four grandchildren Jacob, Gavin, Kelsie and Emily.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service, both Jan. 4 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.

Contributions may be made to the church’s memorial fund, c/o the funeral home.
