LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP: Food pantry needs volunteers

The cheer is here! Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will meet 11 a.m. Jan. 2, 2018, in fellowship hall at Heidelberg Union Church.

Why not come in from the chilly climate and enjoy an amusing afternoon of game playing? All retirees are welcome.

Bring a friend or two and a covered dish to share for lunch, along with your favorite board game, cards or anything you would like to play.

Remember you do not need to be a Heidelberg Church member to attend.

For further information or if inclement weather is in question, call Eleanor Klevenhagen at 610-841-9803 or Katherine Blose at 610-336-0555.

Ribbons and bows! Heidelberg Union Church thanks and recognize Beck’s Christmas Tree Farm near Slatington for donating the lovely Christmas tree this year in the sanctuary.

Also, many thanks to those who helped decorate the church for the advent season.

Helpers are needed again to take down the holiday decorations Jan. 7, 2018, immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service.

Spread the love! Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is looking for volunteers.

The food pantry serves residents of the Northwestern School District and is managed and staffed entirely by a volunteer workforce.

If you have some extra time on your hands, call Barbara Kistler at 610-767-7606.
