We asked Santa Claus questions from some of our youngest readers who responded to our request on our Facebook page. What follows are the questions and Santa’s answers.

Q. What is your favorite cookie?

A. Chocolate chip.

Q. What is your favorite Christmas movie?

A. The Santa Clause, Santa Clause 2 and Santa Clause 3.

Q. Is it hard to convince the reindeer to fly?

A. No, not at all. That’s what the magic dust is for.

Q. Do you know how many children there are in the world?

A. Children are being born every day but I believe there are about 2 billion children.

Q. How did Rudolph get a red nose?

A. He was born that way.

Q. Why is your costume red?

A. So Santa can be seen in the snow and blizzards so he doesn’t get lost.

Q. What is your favorite kind of pizza?

A. Green peppers, sausage and onion.

Q. Do you play video games?

A. Santa plays solitaire on the computer when he isn’t busy but that isn’t too often.

Q. Is there anything you would like to tell the children?

A. It seems like the true meaning and spirit of Christmas is disappearing because I’m not getting as many letters and wish lists. I need the children to start believing in the true meaning of Christmas.
