The American Red Cross is urging eligible donors to give the gift of blood for the holidays. Donations tend to decline during December, but the need for blood remains steady.

Donors who give blood or platelets Dec. 21 through Jan. 7, 2018, will receive a long-sleeved Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last.
