Rebate program

Older adults and people with disabilities have until Jan. 2, 2018, to apply for Pennsylvania’s property tax/rent rebate program for rebates on property taxes and rent paid in 2016. The deadline was extended from June 30, 2017.

The free rebate application forms for 2017 payments will be available early next year. The maximum standard rebate is $650, but supplemental rebates for qualifying homeowners can boost rebates to $975. The income limits are $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters. Half of Social Security income is excluded.
