Central Penn College
Austin Appel, of Whitehall, has been named to Central Penn College’s dean’s list for the summer 2017 term. Appel is currently majoring in information technology. To qualify for the designation, a student must carry six or more credits and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the term.
Central Penn College, Summerdale, has been helping students turn potential into career success since 1881 and now offers holistic associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a variety of fields. Degree programs are available in accounting, business administration, communications, criminal justice, health care, homeland security, information technology, legal studies and organizational leadership. The college, currently serving students at its Summerdale and Lancaster locations, attributes its high rate of student success to a caring faculty and its hands-on learning approach. William Carey University
Harry Douglas Lonas, of Whitehall, has made William Carey University’s dean’s list for the fall trimester. Dean’s list scholars must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average.

East Stroudsburg University
A total of 419 students received degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the winter commencement Dec. 16 in Koehler Fieldhouse. At the ceremony, 325 bachelor’s degrees, 66 master’s degrees and one doctoral degree were awarded.

East Stroudsburg University, one of the 14 institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, opened in 1893 as East Stroudsburg Normal School.
