During a brief Whitehall-Coplay School Board meeting Dec. 11, Student Council President Genesis Perez outlined some efforts the high school is taking to offer aid to Puerto Rico and the American Red Cross.
For donations ranging between $1 and $3, students will be able to give and receive “wishes.” Those perks include candy, the ability to skip the cafeteria line and changing their locker location.
The high school will also be participating in holiday spirit week Dec. 18-21. On Dec. 21, students who donate $1 to the Red Cross’ efforts will be allowed to wear a hat.
After the public meeting, the school board hosted an executive session to discuss personnel matters.
The next committee meetings are scheduled for 4 p.m. Dec. 18 with the next public meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 8, 2018.
