The Salisbury Township School District Board of Directors held its reorganization at the administration building Dec. 6.

Prior to hearing nominations for president and vice president, the board recognized Audrey Frick, Joseph Gnall, Mary Ziegler and George Gatanis for being re-elected to the board.

Director Susan Lea was voted as temporary board president while the board heard nominations for the position of president.

Gatanis nominated incumbent Frank Frankenfield, Gnall seconded the nomination and Frankenfield was unanimously approved as president.

Frankenfield opened the floor for nominations of vice president of the board. Ziegler nominated incumbent Samuel DeFrank, Frankenfield seconded the nomination and DeFrank was also unanimously voted to the retention of his seat on the board.

“I wanted to thank everybody for their support and confidence in us. I look forward to serving the board as president for the next year,” Frankenfield said.

Following the elections, the board approved the meeting dates for 2018. The dates for the regular board meetings, as well as the committee meetings can be found on the school district website, www.salisburysd.org.
