Salisbury police have had several reports of distraction burglaries last week with two people posing as township water authority workers and gaining entry into homes.

Be on the lookout for a black SUV with two males holding radios. They state they need to check your water pressure and distract the occupant while the other male goes upstairs or into the home.

All meter and township activity will be scheduled and marked vehicles are used. If you are not sure, do not let the person in and call the township or police at 610-797-1447. If you had this happen to you and did not report it, please call contact Det. Kevin Kress or Sgt. Don Sabo at the above number.

Salisbury police are asking residents to be alert for any suspicious persons or vehicles in your neighborhood. The department has been receiving reports of cars entered and items removed along the Lehigh Parkway section of the township. Wrapped holiday gifts and electronics are being targeted at this time of year.

Please remember to remove any electronics from your vehicles. If you must store items of value in your car, place them in a locked trunk out of sight. Don’t be a victim of a crime of opportunity. Always, always lock your vehicle.

An unknown person removed change from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Public Road 10:30 a.m. Dec. 6.

A resident in the 1300 block of Voortman Avenue reported finding change missing from a vehicle 7:33 a.m. Dec. 7.

A resident in the 1200 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard reported 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2, the theft of a headset valued at $140.

Rita Deutsch, 46, of Bethlehem, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property following multiple incidents at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., 10 a.m. Dec. 4. Deutsch allegedly went through victims’ purses in the lounge over a period of time. The amount removed was $896.

Police responded to a home in the 1700 block of Church Road 11:10 p.m. Dec. 3 for an overdose. Police administered a dose of Narcan and the resident was transported to St. Luke’s University Health Network for further evaluation.

A resident in the 1000 block of Wellington Terrace reported 5:03 p.m. Dec. 4 an unknown person opened a bank account in the resident’s name in Philadelphia using the social security number. Estimated loss is $10,000.

Three juveniles removed Polo clothing from BonTon, 3300 Lehigh St., 7:44 p.m. Dec. 4. Police are investigating.
