Macungie Holiday will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 9. Local businesses, the historical society and Macungie Memorial Park participate in this borough-wide event.

The Macungie Institute will feature farmers market vendors, Boy Scout displays, food, Santa, Mrs. Claus and Jasper the Bear for photos. There will also be a breakfast with Santa, a scavenger hunt, horse drawn surrey rides, Nutcracker highlights performed by Coral’s Academy of Dance and gingerbread displays at Kalmbach Park.

Concordia Lutheran Church, 2623 Brookside Road, will hold Advent worship services 7 p.m. Dec. 6, 13 and 20. An Advent supper will be held prior to the service 6 p.m.

Concordia Lutheran Church will have a Christmas Open House 6 p.m. Dec. 21 with light snacks, tree lighting 6:45 p.m. and a carol sing 7 p.m. All are welcome. For information, call 610-965-3265.

There will be a New Year’s Day Bingo 1:30 p.m. Jan. 1, 2018 at Macungie Memorial Park. A pork and sauerkraut dinner will be served until 1:30 p.m. Doors open noon. For more information, call 610-966-4289.

The Macungie Public Works crew will collect Christmas trees Jan. 2 and 8, 2018 for recycling at the Emmaus Compost Center. All ornaments, lights and tinsel must be removed.

The next bus trip to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is scheduled Dec. 11. Call the park at 610-966-4289 to reserve a seat.

The Lower Lehigh Lions will meet 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Macungie Institute. The first meeting for the new year will be Jan. 9, 2018.

Macungie Fire Company meets 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the social quarters.

Macungie VFW Post 9264 meets 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the post home on Lehigh Street.

The Ladies Auxiliary of Macungie VFW Post 9264 meets 1 p.m. Dec. 21 at the post home.

Macungie Rod and Gun Club Board meets 7 p.m. Dec. 21 at the club.

Macungie Borough Council meets 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and Jan. 2, 2018 at borough hall, 21 Locust St., Macungie.

The Macungie Park Board of Directors meeting will be held downstairs 7 p.m. Dec. 12. The public is welcome.
