Caroline B. (Sabatino) Abruzzi and Alfonso C. Abruzzi, of Coplay, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Nov. 2.

Caroline is the daughter of the late Bonaventure “Benny” and Mary D. Sabatino.

Alfonso is the son of the late Pasquale and Philomena Abruzzese.

The couple was married Nov. 2, 1947, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto, Northampton County, by the Rev. Ducci.

They are the parents of David, husband of Wendy, of Slatington; Dennis, husband of Eileen, of Whitehall; Karen, wife of Glenn Lewis, of Easton, and Colleen, of Allentown.

They have 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Their children hosted a luncheon in their honor at Villa Lentini Restaurant, Coplay, with approximately 50 family members in attendance.
