Upper Macungie firefighters responded Nov. 21 to the NFI Distribution Center, 910 Nestle Way, for a report of smoke in a warehouse.
According to Station 56 Fire Chief Leroy Gross, a fork lift tire caught fire but was quickly extinguished by employees.
The resulting smoke triggered the alarm system dispatching the fire departments.
Responding firefighting units included Fogelsville, Trexlertown and Upper Macungie Station 56, along with the Cetronia Ambulance Corps.
No injuries or other mishaps were noted by Gross.
