Temple Beth El collecting donations for food banks

Temple Beth El, 1305 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall, is again raising food awareness for hunger in the Lehigh Valley with its Chanu Can Omg.

Monetary donations in any amount will help buy food items for the display. Sponsor a classroom, student or any individual.

Bring food items and volunteer by helping a team or class collect food or preparing the Hanukkah party.

Food donations will be donated to Second Harvest and Jewish Family Services of the Lehigh Valley.

To donate, call Temple Beth El at 610-435-3521.

Temple Beth El Chinese dinner and movies will be 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

They will be offering kosher-vegan Chinese food from New Harmony in Philadelphia.

There will be board games, poker, and popcorn.

Bring a gently used coat or blanket to donate. There is a fee for dinner and movie.

Noa Baum, an Israeli-born award winning storyteller will be in the Coffee House at Temple Beth El 8 p.m. Dec. 9.

There will be a celebration of the Jewish tradition with tales of Hanukkah, wonder, magic and faith from Israeli and around the world.

The fee for admission includes refreshments.

Reservations are needed to attend.

JCC of the Lehigh Valley 702 N 22nd St., Allentown, will be having an Artisan Craft Fair from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Dec. 10.

The fair will feature handcrafted ceramics, jewelry, clothing, textile art, woodworking, mosaics, prints, photography and more by local artist.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of any art works in the Gallery at the JCC will benefit the gallery.

Admission to the craft fair is free.
