Senior Adults Gaining Enrichment, an outreach program of Penn State Lehigh Valley for adults age 55 and older, is holding a lecture Dec.1 in room 135 at Penn State Lehigh Valley, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley.
The lecture is “Practicing Our Civic Values: Re-Imagining 20th Century Writing for the Purpose of Peace.”
Maryann P. DiEdwardo will share her newest research which involves identifying key images, values, beliefs and social structures that point toward a particular cultural movement. She will share her own healing and transformative experiences based upon her reading of the work of Thomas Merton.
The program begins with coffee at 10:30 a.m., the featured speaker at 11 a.m., and lunch at noon.
The mission of SAGE is to encourage intellectual and cultural enrichment for seniors, 55 and older, by providing a stimulating college-level lecture, workshop and seminar environment through a self-funded, self-directed and member-driven program.
