“Christmas Wonderland: A Holiday Spectacular,” one of the most delightful and enchanting Christmas shows this side of the North Pole, will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and 2 p.m. Dec. 3, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton.

The show features a cast of 24 singers and dancers who are hand-picked from London, New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The dazzling cast of high-kicking chorus girls transforms the stage into a winter wonderland filled with more than 1,000 glittering costumes. Adorned by spectacular sets and scenery, this show brings the excitement of Christmas to the stage.

“It’s a great Christmas show with all of your favorite Christmas songs. There are great dancing scenes, actually, one of the best tap dancing scenes I’ve ever seen. It’s so energetic. When I first saw it I was like, wow, and Santa makes an appearance, which is really fun for the kids”, says Ricky Rojas, a singer in the show.

Rojas would know. His stage credits include United Kingdom tours: Pablo in “Sister Act,” “Putting on the Ritz,” “Tonight’s the Night: The Rod Stewart Musical,” “Grease,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and “The Buddy Holly Story.”

Holiday favorite songs in “Christmas Wonderland: A Holiday Spectacular” include: “White Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” “’Away in a Manger,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Let it Snow,” “Silent Night,” “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” “Deck The Halls,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “O Holy Night,” and many more Christmas standards.

“This show is a big collaboration,” says Rojas. “There is a Charles Dickens portion of the show, some modern music, gospel. We try to encompass everyone’s idea of Christmas and their favorite music. It’s a show that spreads Christmas cheer all over the world.”

“Christmas Wonderland” is produced by Spirit Productions and David King, a multi award-winning and internationally acclaimed theater producer who produced ”Spirit of the Dance.” Spirit Productions owns The Palace Theatre, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and The King’s Castle Theatre, Branson, Mo.

“The team behind the show is great. The production value for the show is amazing and the costumes, just great. There are so many costume changes and the choreography is fantastic. It’s simply a great production,” says Rojas.

“The show is for everyone,” Rojas says. “It’s for the kids all the way up to the grandparents. Everyone will have a good time if they come, especially families.”
