There were two conditional use hearings at the Nov. 16 Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting.
The first conditional use involved the plans for Taco Bell at 5374 and 5382 Hamilton Blvd. near the Hamilton Crossings Shopping Center. The plan is to combine the lots and build a fast food restaurant with a drive-thru and construct a two-story office building.
Construction on this site will consider traffic issues which will include Meadowyck Condominiums.
The other conditional use hearing was about Lot 5289 where an Arby’s will be adapted for an already established building. This construction is an effort by the township to preserve an older farmhouse.
A resident from Sweetwood Drive requested to subdivide his lot to allow for another house to be built neighboring his. This was approved.
The library and community center expansion project was approved by the commissioners.
The land development and final plan approval was approved for the CVS store at Route 100 and Willow Lane.
