Donald W. Boehm Sr.

Donald W. “Donny” Boehm Sr., 84, of Upper Milford Township, died Nov. 24, 2017. He was the husband of Ruth D. (Brinker) Boehm. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in December. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Thomas and Lydia (Miller) Boehm.

He served his country for 14 years through the Army and Marine Corps, was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and earned the rank of staff sergeant.

He was employed at Exide Battery for 36 years and retired from Allen Organ in 1995.

An avid hunter, he was a member of the Upper Milford Field and Stream Association and was a Pennsylvania hunter safety instructor. He was also an Emmaus EYA umpire chief and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, including their breakfasts at Shady Maples.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Donald Jr. and his wife, Michele, Jeffrey and his wife, Tanya; daughters, Yvonne and husband Kent Kemmerer, Marjorie Kistler, Shelly and her husband Bill Fehnel; sister, Dolores Handwerk; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by son-in-law, Billy Kistler; two brothers and a sister.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 1 p.m. until service time.
