Christmas charm:Kaleidoscope Theatre presents “Cinderella’s Christmas,” 2 p.m. Nov. 25, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. The show is a holiday twist on the classic family favorite “Cinderella.” The musical adaptation, with book, lyrics and music by David G. Payton, of the famous fairytale is loaded with beautiful songs, including two original Christmas songs, gorgeous costumes, exciting holiday magic and lots of audience participation that makes the production fun for everyone. Join Cinderella as she and her mice friends trim the tree, sing and dance their way around her troublesome stepsisters and conniving stepmother, and share in the magic of the holiday season. See the determined Prince Charming insist he’s found the girl of his dreams to marry on Christmas Eve. Laugh along with the amusing antics of the Prince’s father and his Minister as they rouse the audience with foot-tapping, hand-clapping songs. Beatles vs Stones:The debate between fans of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones has been going on ever since the British bands first crossed paths on the charts 53 years ago. The argument at the time, and one that still persists, was that the Beatles were a pop group and the Stones were a rock band. So who’s better? Find out in a musical “showdown,” 8 p.m. Nov. 30, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown, with tribute bands Abbey Road and Satisfaction: The International Rolling Stones Show. Taking the side of the Fab Four is Abbey Road, one of the United States’ top Beatles tribute bands. With brilliant musicianship and authentic costumes and gear, Abbey Road plays beloved songs spanning the Beatles’ career. Renowned Stones tribute band Satisfaction offers a faithful rendition of the music and style of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the bad boys of the British Invasion. ‘80s rock:Two 1980’s power rock bands take the State Theatre stage, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25. With more than 17 million albums sold, Night Ranger was one of the first big “video” bands, with more than 10 No. 1 videos on MTV. Night Ranger achieved multi-platinum and gold albums status, including “Dawn Patrol,” and the hits “Sister Christian,” “When You Close Your Eyes,” and “(You Can Still) Rock In America.” Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Night Ranger is Jack Blades, bass, vocals; Kelly Keagy, drums, vocals; Brad Gillis, lead, rhythm guitars; Eric Levy, keyboards, and Keri Kelli, lead, rhythm guitars.
