Charlene Carr-Fulton, 53, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of retail theft after she allegedly entered Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:08 p.m. Sept. 21 and placed various items in her purse and attempted to exit the store. Carr-Fulton was confronted by loss prevention personnel, according to police, and fled the store with the items still in her purse.

Carr-Fulton and her husband, Joseph Frederick Fulton, 58, also of Allentown, allegedly drove off in Fulton’s vehicle. Fulton’s vehicle and registration were observed by loss prevention personnel and reported to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Police stopped Fulton and a rolled marijuana cigarette allegedly was found on Fulton’s person along with the stolen items from Carr-Fulton’s purse. Joseph Frederick Fulton was charged with alleged possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, according to police.

Kimberly Dawn Upchurch, 38, of Hereford, was taken into custody for retail theft after she allegedly attempted to remove merchandise valued at $463.22 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:35 a.m. Oct. 3, according to police.

Unknown actors smashed a windshield and front driver’s side window and slashed two tires between 7 and 9:45 p.m. Sept. 5 in an incident reported in the 1500 block of Promise Lane, Lower Macungie Township.

Unknown actors threw eggs at a vehicle in the 5400 block of Lamb Terrace, Lower Macungie Township, between 1 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 22.

A 22-year-old male, of Emmaus, is suspected of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:31 p.m. Sept. 6, according to police. The male also was in possession of a prohibited weapon, according to police.

Patrick Neal Lane, 25, of Zionsville, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop along Route 100 at Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:10 p.m. Sept. 21, according to police.

Peter Bryan Savidge, 36, of Mertztown, was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Spring Creek Road at Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:22 p.m. Oct. 7, according to police.

Inocencio Ramos, 46, of Bethlehem, was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop along South Cedar Crest Boulevard at Little Lehigh Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 10:25 p.m. Oct. 6.

A female resident on Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, reported an unknown actor used her personal information to attempt to open credit card accounts in her name Sept. 5.

Two 19-year-old youths face drug charges after Pennsylvania State Police troopers found them in a vehicle in Wild Cherry Park, 4600 Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:40 a.m. Oct. 14. The park was closed at the time of the incident, according to police. The youths had a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in their possession at the time, according to police.

A 22-year-old male, of Macungie, was hurt when his vehicle sideswiped an oversize load truck, which was hauling a mobile home, in a traffic accident that closed a section of Route 100 for several hours Oct. 26.

According to police, a small commercial vehicle driven by the Macungie man pulled onto Route 100 from a driveway while the truck hauling the mobile home was southbound. The collision happened approximately 295 feet north of Tollgate Road, Upper Milford Township, 10:24 a.m. After impact, the oversize load struck a utility pole causing downed wires.

Emergency responders and PP&L crews were dispatched and worked up to four hours to clear the roadway. Both lanes of travel were closed and traffic was detoured with the assistance of Upper Milford Fire Police. Macungie EMS and Upper Milford Fire Department also responded.

The driver of the oversized load truck, a 57-year-old male, of Mifflinburg, was not hurt, according to police.

The Macungie man was described as having a “suspected minor injury” in a press release from Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
