Q: In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A: I am currently in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject is literature. I enjoy the ability to analyze texts and understand more about others’ experiences that normally wouldn’t be available to me.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: I’m in National Honor Society. I was a member of the winning team for the PBS Scholastic Scrimmage tournament in 2016.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am involved in Model United Nations, Scholastic Scrimmage and Salisbury’s theater department.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: I would like to attend Muhlenberg College.
Q: What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A: Maintaining good grades while also juggling a job, extracurricular activities and a social life.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: My parents, Rebecca and Matthew Moore and Jaime and Sharon Mendes, and siblings Wesley, Ethan, Nina, Brooke and Dylan. I also have two dogs, Smokey and Ollie.
Q: Whom do you admire? Why?
A: I admire my parents for how well they raised me and the emphasis they placed on my education.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: Find what makes you happy and latch onto it.
