Northern Valley EMS Inc. had its annual roundtable luncheon Sept. 29 at its headquarters in Ormrod.
NOVA presented objectives of the organization, community outreach activities, legislative concerns, and financial standings to local community officials during a lunch prepared by NOVA Auxiliary volunteers.
In addition to the board of directors, representatives from the offices of state Sen. Patrick Brown, R-16th, and state Reps. Gary Day, R-187th, and Zack Mako, R-183rd, attended.
Local officials from the Borough of Slatington, Heidelberg and North Whitehall townships also attended.
During the meeting, Jason Breidinger, board director and public relations chair, presented Donald Steffy with an award for more than 25 years of dedicated service as a volunteer director. Steffy retired as a board director at the end of his term but will continue to stay involved as a volunteer with NOVA.
NOVA Auxiliary President Marie Dean also surprised the board of directors with a $20,000 donation to NOVA Board President Kevin A. Schmidt.
