PSO:

Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra (PS0) presents “Classics Take a Latin Beat,” 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18, First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Cedar Crest Boulevard and Tilghman Street, Allentown.

Guest soloist Jordan Dodson, guitar, joins the PSO for the “Concierto de Aranjuez” for guitar and orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo.

The PSO opens the concert with “Le Grand Tango for cello and strings” by Astor Piazzolla, with Elizabeth Mendoza, cello, as soloist.

The third work on the program, “Variaciones Concertantes,” is by Argentine composer Alberto Ginastera.

The works, chosen by music director Dr. Allan Birney, are by 20th century composers from Spain and Argentina.
