Korean comedy:Margaret Cho presents a standup comedy show, 8 p.m. Nov. 17, Sands Event Center, Bethlehem. Cho was born into a Korean family in San Francisco. She has performed in film, television, theater and music and is an author. Cho has received five Grammy Award nominations (two for music albums, “Cho Dependent” and “American Myth”) and an Emmy nomination for “30 Rock.” Cho created and starred in the ABC sitcom, “All-American Girl” (1994 - 95). Funny line-up:Armed with nothing but their sharp wit, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” TV stars Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood take to the stage with their uproarious improv show, 8 p.m. Nov. 18, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The popular duo are on tour with their “Scared Scriptless Tour.” Mochrie and Sherwood improvise material every night from audience suggestions and participation. “Interactive” in every sense of the word, they take the audience on a comedic high-wire act in a live version of “Whose Line! is it Anyway?” for a night of non-stop laughter for all ages. “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” is in its fourth season. Me and Janis:“A Night With Janis Joplin” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16, State Theatre Center for the Arts. “A Night With Janis Joplin,” written and directed by Randy Johnson, is a musical journey celebrating Janis Joplin and her biggest musical influences: icons like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Odetta, Nina Simone and Bessie Smith, who inspired Joplin, one of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest legends.
