Richard A. Hahn
Richard “Dick” A. Hahn, of Coplay and formerly of Allentown and Emmaus, died Nov. 11, 2017, in his home. He was the husband of Dolores “Dolly” M. (Billie) Hahn for 58 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Allen and Anna (Urban) Hahn.
He was a 1959 graduate of Emmaus High School.
He was in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS John W. Weeks during the Cuban missile crisis.
He was a 25-year veteran of the Allentown Police Department. He was a motorcycle police officer for 17 years and was then promoted to sergeant in 1982. He retired in 1990.
He was a member of two American Legions, the Charles Henry Schaeffer Post 191, Emmaus, and the Howard L. Peter Post 576, Allentown. He was a member and past president of Liberty Fire Company No. 5, Allentown; a life member of both the Emmaus Fire Company No. 3 and the Emmaus Fourth Alarmers Club; and was a member of the Unami Fish and Game Association, Ranger Rod and Gun Club and the Mercantile Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Kimberly A. of Allentown, Richard A. II and his wife Donna of Macungie and Tracy C. and her husband Douglas J. Lloyd of Coplay; a brother, Donald U. and his wife Janet of Florida; four grandsons, Bradlee, Douglas C., Jesse and Shane; seven nephews; and three nieces.
He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Moss.

There will be a calling time 12:30-2 p.m., followed by a memorial service 2 p.m., both Nov. 18 at the funeral home, 1601 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.
