In honor of the Northampton Area High School DECA Chapter Community Service event this year, members Shawna Reese and Hailey Steirer teamed up with the Children With Hair Loss foundation (CWHL) and Changes for Hair salon to host a cut-a-thon event called Strand Together to raise awareness and donations for children who are suffering from medically related hair loss. The event took place Oct. 22 at Changes for Hair, 1188 Mickley Road, Whitehall.
They offered haircuts, trims and styles for men, women and children of all ages. All proceeds were donated directly to the foundation. In addition, CWHL accepted hair donations of 8 inches or more.
If you want to donate, contact the salon at 610-821-4033 or email Shawna Reese at shwnrs@gmail.com. Donations by check can be made payable to Northampton Area High School with Strand Together in the memo line and mailed to Northampton High School DECA, 1619 Laubach Ave., Northampton, 18067.
