LOWHILL TOWNSHIP: Christ’s Church at Lowhill hosting chicken potpie dinner on Nov. 11

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is having a homemade chicken potpie dinner 4-7 p.m. Nov. 11.

Meal includes lettuce with hot bacon dressing or applesauce, roll, dessert and beverage. Seating is limited.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will be honoring veterans during its worship service 9 a.m. Nov. 12.

The church will be accepting orders for its Christmas tree remembrance balls Nov. 19 to Dec. 17.

Choose between red, blue, green, silver, gold balls or a gold star.

The Women’s Guild is collecting hats, scarves, mittens and gloves for all ages during November.

Items will be distributed to Sayre Children’s Center, Hamburg Center, Gracedale, KidsPeace and the Allentown Rescue Mission.

The church will be accepting hoagie orders until Nov. 19. Pickup is 4-6 p.m. Nov. 28.

Hoagies are supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Choose between regular with everything or no onions or peppers, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef, tuna or veggie.

Morgenland Church Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for noon Dec. 16 at the Morgenland Union Cemetery, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will be honoring veterans Nov. 11.

The Zoo and Christmas Décor will be kicking off its third season of the Winter Light Spectacular 5:30-10 p.m. on Nov. 10.

This season will feature 36 scheduled events Wednesday through Sunday nights Nov. 10 through Dec. 21.

There will be no showings on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Disney’s Princess Elsa will perform 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Nov. 10, 12, 16, 18, 22, 24, 26 and 30.

Disney’s Princess Belle will make an appearance at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Nov. 11, 15, 17, 19, 25 and 29.
