Nov. 10

Nov. 11

Longswamp UCC, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, will host a PA Dutch Bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event will feature craft vendors, raffle baskets, PA Dutch desserts, apple dumplings and more. A Veterans Day prayer service will be held 11 to 11:15 a.m. All are welcome; for more information, visit longswampucc.org/bazaar.

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main Street, Macungie, will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner to benefit hurricane relief efforts, 5 to 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Guests will enjoy spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. There is a suggested donation for adults and children; there is no donation for children under three. All money raised will be donated to Lutheran Disaster Response of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America where 100 percent of funds are donated directly to relief efforts already underway in affected areas. Old Zionsville UCC, Kings Highway and Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will be hosting the 21st annual bazaar and filled basket auction 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will also include vendor offerings. The kitchen will be open for breakfast items and light lunch including homemade Pennsylvania Dutch pot pie. The basket auction begins 3 p.m. There is a cost for tickets. Nov. 12

Veterans Day program 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Community Center co-sponsored by the Lower Macungie Township Historical Society, Macungie Historical Society and Macungie VFW Post 9264. The speaker will be Richard Buss, a retired Navy captain and a native of the village of East Texas, who will present “The Four Chaplins” - the story of four Army chaplains who volunteered their services during World War II.

Emmaus Garden Club meeting 12:30 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. Deborah L. Pomroy Moyer will offer a presentation on organic design. For more information, call 610-554-0677.

Artist Donna Haney will be the guest presenter at the meeting of the Parkland Art League, 7 p.m. at Macungie Institute, 510 East Main St., Macungie. Haney will demonstrate painting trees, working in oils. The Parkland Art League is open to all residents of the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

Nov. 15

Emmaus Historical Society meeting 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, Fifth and Chestnut streets. The program will include information about the Schwar Geneology Library which is housed in the museum. Society member Lynette Fink will talk about the history of the Schwar Genealogy Library.

Nov. 17

The Children’s Ball, “Journey to Oz,” a Wizard of Oz theme, will be hosted by Community Services for Children at Lehigh’s Mountaintop Campus, 6 to 9 pm. The ticket includes a reception, seated dinner, live jazz and an auction. Jon Stetson, a mentalist, is the special guest entertainer. Ninth annual craft/vendor fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Over 100 crafters and vendors will participate. Brookside Deli will offer lunch 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A free shuttle from the parking lot to the door will be provided by Corporate Limousine.

Grand opening of the Bartholomew Center for the Preservation of Lower Macungie Township History at the barn at Camp Olympic Park, 3120 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, noon to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.LMTHistory.org.

The Women’s Club of Emmaus will hold its monthlymeeting 1 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. The program will be presented by Kathy Long on “Stories from the Heart.” Candy orders are due.

Nov. 29

Diakon Adoption & Foster Care will hold an informational session on providing foster care to children and youths, with a special focus on children with medically fragile conditions, 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road. The session is funded by a mini-grant from Pennsylvania’s Statewide Adoption & Permanency Network as part of National Adoption Month, November.

Dec. 11

Open house at the Wescosville Log House, 5047 Hamilton Blvd. Tours of the candle-lit house, warm drinks, cookies and harp music will be included in the event which is free and open to the public.
