District news: Marching band going for gold
The Whitehall High School Marching Zephyr Band will be competing in the Cavalcade of Bands American Open Division Championships Nov. 11 at Hershey Park Stadium. The band enters the event with the No. 1 rank of all competing bands, based on scores throughout the regular season.
This would be the first Open Class Championship in school history.

Reminder: The ESOL family night for all grades is scheduled for tonight, Nov. 9. It will be held at Whitehall-Coplay Middle School.

Schools will be closed for students for a professional development day tomorrow, Nov. 10.

Report cards are available online for high school and middle school students. The elementary buildings will be giving out report cards during parent/teacher conferences the week of Nov. 20. After the first marking period, all report cards will be obtained electronically.

The Whitehall High School swim team will be having a designer purse bingo Dec. 2 at the Eygpt Memorial Park pavilion. Doors open 4:30 p.m., and bingo starts 6 p.m.
There will be great purse prizes from names like Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Coach and Kate Spade.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door for 20 games of bingo. There will also be specials, raffles, food and more to purchase.
