LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Visitors have a hot time at 22nd chili pepper festival

The village of Bowers, Berks County, was the site Sept. 8 and 9 of the 22nd annual Chili Pepper Festival at Bill Delong Memorial Park.

According to the festival co-coordinator, John Bixler, 95 vendors were on hand for this year’s events.

Great weather helped keep attendance high as well.

With the chili pepper as the theme, there were a remarkable variety of flavors mixed with the peppers to satisfy any taste.

Think chocolate or cherries or about any flavor one’s taste buds would savor.

If falconry is of interest, The Falconry Girl and her dad where there with their hunting hawks to educate those interested in the sport.
