LYNN TOWNSHIP: Oysters are on the menu Nov. 4 at Jacob’s Church

Lynn Township looks lovely this fall.

It’s not clear what magic was conjured in our area--but the glorious colors are real.

Enjoy the colors of the leaves before they disappear.

Hay rides, train rides or walks through Ontelaunee Park will cast a fall spell on you.

Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, will host its annual oyster supper 3-7 p.m. Nov. 4, in the Activity Center which is handicapped accessible.

They will be serving fried oyster platters, fried shrimp platters, steamed shrimp, raw oysters, oyster stew, oyster pie, fresh cut fries, turkey barbecue, pepper cabbage.

Desserts-cakes and pies including old fashion lemon strip, coconut cream and fruit pies.

Kempton Fire Company truck crew will be having a craft and vendor show and flea market 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the fire station, 2461 Route 143, Kempton.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase.

Ebenezer Church UCC, 7293 Decatur St, New Tripoli, clothing closet will be open from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 9 and from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 11.

There is clothing for the family and sweaters and winter apparel.

Take as much as needed. Proof of need is not required.

St. Peter’s UCC Lynn-ville, 5129 Schochary Road, Lynnville, will be having a pinochle afternoon 2-4 p.m. Nov. 5.
