HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP: Heidelberg Church having soup, apple dumpling fundraiser

One dish wonder! Heidelberg Union Church is having a delicious soup and apple dumpling take out sale fundraiser.

The soups available for sale are Manhattan clam chowder, broccoli cauliflower cheese, and chicken corn noodle.

Soups are sold by the quart and the apple dumplings are sold individually.

Orders must be placed by Nov. 4 by calling 610-767-5351 or 610-767-6557.

Pickup times are noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 11 and from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 12.

Calling all retirees! Heidelberg Association of Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will meet 11 a.m. Nov. 7 in fellowship hall at Heidelberg Union Church.

Bring a friend or two plus a covered dish for the luncheon, along with a few of your favorite jokes or stories to share with the rest of the group.

Spread the word! Lehigh-Northampton County Pomona Grange members are having a shoofly pie bake sale fundraiser Nov. 18 at the Schnecksville Grange.

To place an order, call 610-767-4400 no later than Nov. 8.

Pickup pies 1-4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Schnecksville Grange, 5322 Route 863, Schnecksville.

Labor of love! According to Heidelberg Church Soup Kitchen Coordinator Linda Hausamann, 165 hot meals were served recently to the hungry and homeless at the Allentown Soup Kitchen.

Special thanks to the volunteers of the day: Sheri Hausman, Eleanor and Ron Klevenhagen, Shirley Boger, Robin Koch, Barbara Matthias and Linda Hausamann.

Winter clothing is now being collected for those in need at the soup kitchen.

Boxes are located in the narthex and in the hallway by fellowship hall for donated items.
