BoomBa club performs for Cedarbrook residents

The Lehigh Valley Happy Boomadears, an original BoomBa club based in the Lehigh Valley, entertained a very appreciative crowd on Oct. 7 at Cedarbrook County Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township.

Using Boombas, bells and clackers, the group had fun helping the residents have fun.

A dying instrument, the BoomBa is exclusive to the Pennsylvania German communities of Eastern Pennsylvania.

At one time, the Lehigh Valley Boomadears counted 40 to 50 members as part of its entourage.

Currently, there are only eight active members.

However, what they did not have in numbers was made up by great enthusiasm.
